Ron Payne – Founder and Managing Director – founded Purchasing Services, Inc. (PSInPhilly) in 1995. This Massachusetts based company relocated to Philadelphia in 2005 and incorporated in Pennsylvania with the new name PSInPhilly dba Purchasing Services, Incorporated. Ron combines his extensive management, consulting and training experience with significant success in designing and implementing best practice supply chain management strategies. Prior to establishing PSInPhilly, Ron held several senior level management positions in three Fortune 500 companies. His most recent line-purchasing role was as corporate purchasing vice president for Digital Equipment Corporation. He has also held progressively responsible roles in purchasing and manufacturing management at Lockheed and IBM.
Ron has been on both sides of the table, currently as an entrepreneur rendering professional services to clients and previously as a corporate buyer, acquiring goods and services at the enterprise level. He is particularly gifted in examining core competencies and implementing comprehensive best practice procurement strategies.

Ron Payne's professional and academic interests include his service on boards and advisory groups for Boston University School of Theology, University of Texas School of Engineering, Daystar University (Nairobi, Kenya), and the Minority Supplier Development Council, MSDC of PA NJ DE. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Gordon College for the Gordon-in-Boston Urban Studies Program teaching, "Selected Topics in Urban Economics and Business Development."
